The Doctors

John Turle, a surgeon from Devonport, came to live in London where he became a property dealer. His daughter Elizabeth Ann married Evan Evans, a third generation naval surgeon from Devonport. Many of the descendants of both the Turle and Evans families continued in the medical tradition with not only the men becoming doctors but many of the women too.
