Notes
- Louisa continued living at Weymouth helping the locals where she was described as "Having a wonderfully sweet and sympathetic disposition, and loved, and was beloved by, all children and all young people. Taking the warmest interest in Malay women, amongst whom so many years of her life were spent, whose language she spoke fluently, and whose ideas she understood, she did much to encourage them in Malay needlework, embroidery and basketry, and to help them in all the troubles they brought to her."1
