  • 11 May 1688 "Evidence of Samuel, son of Nicholas of Pitminster, concerning an attack on his mother Ann by William Reeves and Matthew Tucker, Reeves having broken into the house and then let in Tucker and William Pursey, bailiffs. Evidence of Elizabeth Gale, Susanna Major and Joan Gale, all of Pitminster, confirming that they saw Ann bloody and bruised and that she was "great with child" at the time."
