    "The information of William Barrett, Nicholas Scadding and Mary Palmer all of Taunton Magdalen taken the 2nd June [        ] in the year of our Lord 1668 before Henry Roger [           ] one of his Majesties Justices of the Pearce for the county aforesaid.

    The said William Barrett saith upon his oath that on the eleventh day of May last past about ten or eleven of the clock at night he did see one Nicholas Scadding at a bonfire in East Street in Taunton with a painted face.

    Nicholas Scadding upon his oath saith that on the eleventh day of May last past he did see one William Barrett at a Bonfire in East Street in Taunton about ten of the clock at night.

    Mary Palmer upon her oath saith that on the eleventh day of May last past at about [         ] of the clock that night she did see Thomas Bagly and William Cox [           ] aforesaid bonfire in High Street in the town of Taunton and doth further say that she did see them light the said fier [                   ] faggots to it

    " The examination of Thomas Bagly John Smyth William Barrett Nicholas Scadding all of Taunton taken the 2nd of June in the year of our Lord 1668 before George Rogers [        ] one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the county aforesaid.

    The said Thomas Bagley saith that he was not at the Bonfire in the High Street neither did he light the said fier or [_arry] faggott to it on the eleventh day of May last.

    John Smyth saith that on the eleventh day of May last past he had a pistoll and did shoot it off several times that night about ten of the clock And doth further say that he was at the door of his [____ ster] house which was about two doores from the Bonfire

    William Barrett saith that he was at a Bonfire in East Street in Taunton on the eleventh day of May last about ten of the clock at night.

    Nicholas Scadding saith that he was at a Bonfire in East Street on the eleventh say of May last about eleven ogf the clock at night.
