- "Be it remembered that on the third day of August 1754 in the 28th year of his Majesty's reign, Susanna the wife of Joseph Scading of the parish of Pitminster Inn-holder was convicted before me one of his Majesty's Justices of the peace for the county aforesaid of swearing and cursing nineteen profane oaths and curses. Given under my hand and seal the day and year aforesaid."
